Hey everyone…I’ve been neglecting the Zedprep site for too long, so please accept my apologies. I have had the best intentions of getting more content out here, but you know what they say about those. Anyway, there are changes afoot.

We’ve made a change in the direction of the Zed’s World universe. With real world challenges, keeping the serial novel on the site moving forward and free AND working on the Zed’s World tie-in novels was proving to be too challenging time-wise. So we have decided to pull the serial novel off-line, expand the content of the episodes, and publish them as a series of books. The first one was released in December and has done really well. At fifty-three pages, the novella has been the little book that could, with 300 sales and 30,000 pages read on Kindle Unlimited.

The full length follow up is in formatting now, the cover is in the final design stages and it will be released in the next couple of weeks. The title is – drumroll – Zed’s World Book Two: Roads Less Traveled. We think you’ll really enjoy it. For those who have kept up with the online version, there are some things changed up, and a lot of new and expanded material.

The third book is going to be mostly new material, and is about 4,000 words in progress now. We’re really excited to get it started in earnest.

Elsewhere, we’ll be manning the Phalanx Press booth at Walker Stalker Con in Denver in April with fellow Phalanx alum Joe Hansen. Many of the stars from The Walking Dead will be there, and they’re expecting about 10,000 visitors, so it should be a really fun weekend. If you go, be sure to stop in and say hi.

Finally, we’re still going to re-skin the website, but other priorities are being addressed first. We’ve picked out the new theme and think it’s going to look amazing when it’s done.

That’s the latest and greatest! Hopefully you’re as excited for the second book to come out as we are, and be sure to keep checking back to get the latest updates.

As always – Better dead than Zed!

  1. I met Rich at the Walking Dead convention in Denver and bought Roads Less Traveled. It took me a week to get through it and I am hooked. Being from Denver, I really enjoyed the tie in with Colorado. I am looking forward to the next book.
